For an Integrator, recurring revenue should not start with the question: “What can we turn into a subscription?”
Start somewhere else: “What does the customer continuously need after deployment?”
That is where the recurring revenue opportunity begins.
Once an AV environment goes live, customers continuously need visibility, support, maintenance, operational consistency and lifecycle planning.
Those are not one-time needs. Which means the opportunity to deliver value is not one-time either.
Recurring customer need → Recurring value → Recurring relationship → Recurring revenue
Monitoring is one opportunity. But it is not the entire managed-service proposition.
Together, these services create a much more durable relationship.
The value compounds when these services share the same operational data. Deployment tells you what exists. Monitoring tells you what is happening. Support tells you what is failing. Maintenance tells you what has been done. Lifecycle intelligence tells you what needs to happen next.
That creates increasingly valuable customer insight.
Recurring revenue ultimately reflects a different customer relationship. The Integrator is not waiting for another project. It is continuously and proactively helping the customer operate the environment.
That is what makes the revenue recurring.
Do not start by selling a subscription. Start by creating a reason to stay involved.
